Rachel Melendrez founded Occoquan Optical with a conviction that most opticians don't share: that eyewear is fashion, and fashion deserves the same respect in Prince William County that it receives in Paris or Barcelona.

We source from Lafont, Etnia Barcelona, Krewe, Francis Klein, Piero Massaro, Coco Song, Res/Rei, Vuarnet, and others who share this conviction — that eyewear is craft, not commodity. Every frame evaluated not just for optical precision but for the way it holds light, the weight of it in the hand, the conversation it starts without a word.
